The Black Heart of TezCATlipoca

Tezcatlipoca, Jaguar God of the Smoking Mirror:

In my last post I looked at the relationship between the Cat and the Train Tracks and having followed this fresh trail of synchronicities I've been lead to an ancient Mayan Jaguar God who goes by the name of Tezcatlipoca.

Tezcatlipoca, "Smoking Mirror", is an Aztec god associated with black magic, obsidian, and the jaguar. Various sources connect this Black God with the nocturnal sky, the subconscious mind, the ancestral memory and Time.

Like Loki from the Norse legends, or the Egyptian Set, Tezcatlipoca was a trickster god who delighted in overturning the order of things. As an instigator of chaos and a master of disruption he could be both helpful and destructive. On one hand he would ripen the crops and on the other he would annihilate them with a burning drought. Sometimes the conflicts he brought to the world were actually sources of creative energy and positive change. He appeared most frequently as a magician, a smoking shape-shifter and a Jaguar God endowed with mysterious powers.

According to the Aztec creation story Tezcatlipoca turned himself into the sun. His twin Quetzalcoatl couldn’t bear the thought of his brother ruling the universe so he knocked him out of the sky and into the darkness of the ocean.

Having been removed from the sky by his nemesis, Tezcatlipoca transformed himself into a Jaguar before destroying the world. Quetzalcoatl re-created and re-populated Earth, taking his place as ruler of the second world, only for Tezcatlipoca to rise against him and send a great wind which devastated the population. You can see that these guys had issues with one another - Yin and Yang don't often see eye to eye.

Here we see the Black Tezcatlipoca facing off against the White Quetzalcoatl (a Plumed Serpent/Dragon) on page 3 of the Codex Borbonicus:

According to another Aztec myth, before the creation of the world, there was only the sea and the Earth Monster, Cipactli, who took the form of a crocodile. Tezcatlipoca tempted Cipactli to the surface of the ocean using his foot as bait. The Earth Monster rose to the surface and devoured Tezcatlipoca's foot but during the struggle she lost her lower jaw and was left too weak to return underwater. Tezcatlipoca and the god Quetzalcoatl joined forces to capture her and created the earth from her carcass and formed the tribes of men from her back.

Tezcatlipoca lost one of his limbs during his encounter with the Earth Monster and in this image we find him walking on water as Cipactli swims away with his Leg:

In Keeping track of the Cat I looked at a number of synchronicities involving the Cat and Train Tracks. Notice in the image above that the Jaguar/Cat God Tezcatlipoca stands above what could be interpreted as a set of underwater Train Tracks.

In the last post this example of the 'Cat on the Train Track' pointed us down to the level of our DNA:

If we zoom out to see what role the Cat has to play in the bigger picture we'll find that the feline has more than a few things in common with the centre of our own Galaxy. Believe it or not but the decapitated Peg Leg of Tezcatlipoca is going to help bridge this gap between micro and macro.

Jim Sanders and Jake Kotze have done a lot of research into the WinniPEG LEGislature Building (or 'Peg Leg' Building) and they've shown on numerous occasions that this particular piece of architecture resonates on a number of levels with the Galactic Centre, the Black Hole located in the Heart of the Milky Way.

If you're new to this then check out Jakes Galactic Centre Temple or Strange Things Afoot at the Circle-M to find out why the 'Peg Leg' Building, a masonic model of King Solomon's Temple, is an Earthly resonator for the heavenly marker known as the Galactic Center (GC), or check out Jims Temple of Juno post to find out why the Goddess of Jupiter entrains with this sync-tacular piece of architecture.

In this image we see that the mathematical Blueprint of Life, known as the Pi Ratio or Golden Spiral, is incorporated into the 'Peg Legs' design:

For more on the Peg Leg connection you might want to Peg Leg(o) my Ego.

Jim took a video of the Ashanincan shaman Maestro Juan Flores who recently visited Winnipeg. Here we see the Maestro standing in the centre of the Pool of the Black Star, located at the very centre of the WinniPeg Legislature Building, as he chants an icaro to an audience gathered around him in a circle. You can watch the Maestro Sending Light to the World by following the link.

Jake Kotze describes this Black Star ^ as the 'Heart of the Heart', the most central element of the Earthly marker of Galactic Centre. If we turn our attention back to Tezcatlipoca we can see that his 'Peg Leg' resonates with the Manitoba 'Peg Leg' Building and therefore the Black Star located within it.

From the synchromystic perspective Tezcatlipoca is an Aztec God who has a Black Star, or Black Whole, in his Heart.

The Cat/Jaguar lead me to the DNA Blueprint found within all life, but also lead me to the centre of our Milky Way - the micro and macro united via the furry feline.

The next lead came via this brilliant animation which shows the birth of the majestic TezCATlipoca:

In the video we see Tezcatlipoca climb his way to the peak of the mountain/pyramid as he merges with the Black Sun:

The Black Sun is of course a Black Star, like the one found in the Heart of the WinniPeg Leg:

In the video we see that the Jaguar God is depicted in the form of a Black and White Leopard:

Shortly after watching the above video I read about the Friday August 28th release of Apples new operating system entitled Snow Leopard. The Leopard/Jaguar God Tezcatlipoca naturally sprung to mind.

Thanks to Apples timely release of Snow Leopard I was once again pointed in the direction of the Galactic Centre (GC).

X always seems to mark the spot:

We can see from the names of the previous releases that Apple has a curious affinity with the Cat:

Let's follow the trail of the Cat and the Apple to see where it takes us:

The movie Twilight seems to have sparked something off in the fertile imaginations of the young, quickly becoming one of the hottest franchises in Hollywood. One of the key images used in nearly all of the Twilight advertising is the Red Apple:

If we look at the one of the final scenes in the movie we find Edward (Adam) and Bella (Eve) coming together on the centre of a dance floor which features the 8-pointed Black Star, a pointer to the GC:

If we zoom in close to the Black Star we see that Bella has a black plaster cast covering her right Leg. If memory serves correctly her Leg has actually been broken, thus giving us a reference to Tezcatlipoca's broken/dismembered 'Peg Leg':

It kind of makes sense then to find two of the Vampires wearing the letters G and C (GC = Galactic Centre) on the front of their baseball caps:

If we leave the movie Twilight and follow the letters GC to the movie call the (GC) Golden Compass we find the Snow Leopard, Tezcatlipoca, wrapped around the Leg:

It's no surprise then to find that the Red Apple is one of the symbols found inside the (GC) Golden Compass:

So we've seen the smoking shape-shifting Tezcatlipoca making his presence known in modern Holywood movies, but if we now turn to an old Disney classic whose plot revolves around an enchanted Red Apple, we should find some more references to the Black Heart, or Black Hole, located at the centre of our Galaxy:

Tezcatlipoca's name in the Nahuatl language is often translated as "Smoking Mirror" and alludes to his connection to obsidian (black volcanic glass), the material from which mirrors were made in Mesoamerica and which were often used for shamanic rituals. Tezcatlipoca is represented in Mayan art with a black obsidian mirror called Itlachiayauque - "Place from which He Watches".

The Magical Smoking Mirror plays a prominent role in the mythology of Tezcatlipoca, who we've seen in the form of the Snow Leopard, and in the movie Snow White we find another Magical Smoking Mirror which happens to be a source of cosmic wisdom. Notice that the 12 zodiac constellations surround Heart of this Black Hole:

The Smoking Mirror of Tezcatlipoca points us once again to the centre of our Milky Way, and the pair of entwined DNA Serpents ^ remind us that this Black Heart, the portal which 'beats' all Life into existence, is also located within our own genetic Blue-print. Tezcatlipoca can be found Within and Without.

As Above, So Below.

The obsidian Smoking Mirror (GC) was often positioned on the centre of Tezcatlipoca's chest (the area of the Heart) or on the end of his decapitated Peg Leg (also GC):

We could therefore say that our Galactic Centre is the place where the Sole/Soul rests.

Time for me to take a break.

More on the Black Tezcatlipoca coming soon.

Thanks for reading!

I like the hat sync in that movie Twilight you have. Did you see that new post of mine over at the Order? I found a picture of me in a hat with aG on it and some other stuff, that really syncs with that for me. Check it out if you haven't its the newest post about 'The Blue Devil' etc...

Anyways i use to read a comic book called 'Jaguar God' written by the former lead singer of the punk band 'The Misfits', Glen Danzig. and they were drawn by Frank Frazetta, very famous artist. At the same time Danzig was also writing another comic i read back then called 'Satanika' about the daughter of Satan.

Anyways here is some images of the comic book here...

Awesome post that literally gave me chills. It seems to get incorporate the two biggest syncs that I have seen lately the cat and snow white.

At red ice creations Henrik had a program recently about underground bases and also the hollow earth theme was touched upon during the show.

Here is Rammsteins music video Sonne (the SUN)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mfHlA3fmJG0

they are singing about the sun while digging into the earth, and
the video is based on snow white story. That i now see as a great allegory for the sun(snow white) and the 7classical planets (dwarfs)

Happy quests
//John

Kristen Stewart or Bella's Peg Leg in Twilight!

Massively susynct as she is playing Butterfly in K-11 in 2010.

K-11 is an easy K2 or 11:11.

It spins your head.

Gr8 stuff.

Peace In

Hey C. I'll definitely check out your post. The mention of the Blue Devil has me intrigued.

I've never read Jaguar God before (looks good) but I have been a long time fan of Frank Frazetta's work. Thanks for stopping by.

AFSTS, you are indeed correct about the Daniel Craig/Leopard link. I've found quite a few links between Tezcatlipoca and 'the Blue One' so I wasn't surprised to find Lucy getting involved. The Blue Shiva also seems to be knee deep in all this Cat business. I'm looking forward to seeing where this is all headed...

johnblend, I'm glad your syncing along with this stuff. I was a little dubious about the Rammstein video at first but as it got moving the symbology became quite stunning. I think in order to find the golden nuggets of cosmic wisdom we need to get our hands dirty. We've got to become 'Black' (like the miners/dwarves in the music video) before we can tap into the dark recesses of the subconscious. I believe that the greatest treasures can be found within.

Jake, I never spotted the Kirsten/Kristen connection. It seems to fit like a glove.

If Kirsten = Kristen

and both names become 'Tinkers' when re-arranged,

then it makes sense that Kirsten Stewart is named 'Bella' in the movie Twilight.

Kirsten Bella
Tinkers Bella
Tinker Bell

Conveniently, I'll be taking a look at Pan in the next post.

Peace Out

I've met this cat in the other world, from my experience you will find "sex kitten" fits purr-fect; must be the orgone.

oye matey, the bone leg radiates concentric rings like the arr-tickles about Robin Tuney's ankle.

the he/she/we cat looked like Bubatis from Watchmen, with jewel encrusted whiskers and golden spiral radiating body curves ... Bubatis is a chimera

Dennis, thank you kind sir.

Wilson, glad your enjoying the story so far.

James, I too keep meeting the Cat on the 'otherside'. Since writing about all this feline stuff I can't stop dreaming about them!

In fact, last night, I recall chasing a small white (wild) kitten around a room. I remember grabbing the pussy, pinning it to the floor (as it clawed my hands), and as I looked closer I noticed a white bandage wrapped it's body (camouflaged by the fur). Along the bandage was a criss cross of stitches (just like a set of Train Tracks) but I noticed that the wound beneath the protective covering was completely healed. There was no reason for the bandage...just wish I knew what it meant!!!

As for Bubastis, I will be getting to her very shortly.

Cheers bub.

Hey Arrowsmith the Mage, hey. Yet another spectacular piece of writing from you. Funny, the name of one of my best elfin friends in OZtralia is Reginald & my wv this thyme is ….redge.… of course, Richard, you're well aware of your lion-hearted namesake & mayhap e'en heard o/t horse mauling by a mysterious big cat in your part o/t world o'er the summer here. Directrix extraordinaire, Julie Taymor, best known for her stage adaptation of the Lion King, had previously rendered a Spanish language play, Juan Darién. It's all about a tiger cub that became a boy but later changes back again after a half-hearted attempt @ being assimilated into human society.

Your fellow ailurophile bud,

awsome work! I just read about Tezcatlipoca in the Invisibles I beleive too. Keep up the great work! Namaste

Richard that was a crasy dream. I had a dream last weak that I was also trying to put an animal in submission. I don't know what it was. I thought it was a coyote. It was a small animal. Mangy dark and flailing about. It was kinda greasy too. Like it fell into oil of some kind. Your dream struck me as odd cause of the timing and theme...

WOW! Talk about Freudian spelling...

I'ma gonna have to reread this one. I'm compelled...to learn how to spell. Reading helps. Peace

Anadæ, your kind words are always appreciated. I've never heard of Juan Darién so thanks for pointing it my way. Sounds intriguing.

Indras Net, can you recall what number/issue of the comic you found the mention of Tezcatlipoca? I read The Invisibles a few years back but can't remember the Smoky Mirror being involved. Cheers!

Hey Jon, nice dream. Thanks for sharing bud. I like the parallels between the two - White Cat (mine) and oily Black Dog (yours). We've got a Yin/Yang thing goin on here.

Has anyone else noticed an increase in animal encounters during Dream Time? If so, I'd love to hear them.

Hi baab. I designed the first image a couple of years ago (using adobe photoshop) but I have no idea who created the second one. Glad you liked them!

To be honest, this article made me understand the genuineness. I understood many things, Related to the topic. I keep on wondering why people keep on wondering so much on the topic.

I don't remember the exact issue Indras was referencing, but the graphic novel is titled "Apocalipstick." It had Lord Fanny's story. It was actually how I came across this blog. I am trying to figure out if the author based his version of Tezcatlipoca on an actual story or created his own. I like his idea of Tezcatlipoca and he seems to have gotten the basic personality down, just embellished on it.
